(Schedule)
April 1(Friday)
April 1, 1945 is the day when the military forces of the United States landed on Okinawa in the area currently called as the Kadena Town and the Yomitanson Village, and started the allout land warfare against Japan. On April 1 this year, a few prayers will go around the sacred areas in the Kadena Town and the Yomitanson Village together for praying. We are sorry to inform you that only a few people can do this and no ordinary people can join it for a reason. It is because we will be praying around, including private houses, and we would not like to cause any big problem to these private houses. Please understand this.
April 2(Saturday)
As of today, nothing is decided in details. When we know more about it, we will let you know about it on the blog.
April 3(Sunday)
This is the day of the Gathering of Peace.
Place: on the Beach of Toguchi( Sun Marina)
Time: from 9am to 6pm( the time for cleaning the area is between 5 and 6pm)
Performers: Haruko Kuwana(singer), and some local people
It will start with a cleaning job of the area for an hour. And, from 10am around, dedications by songs and dances will start by performers. It will be followed by prayers by a few selected people, and ritual prayers for God. Then, the messages of peace from people inside and outside of Japan will be introduced. After everything, around 5pm, we will clean up the area together and end the Gathering.
This Gathering is part of our divine activities. No entry fee is charged. But, if you would like to give us your donation, we will accept it to cover the expenses for the Gathering, such as payments for performers, rental fees for the place, etc. We will accept your donation as a token of your heart. We will appreciate your cooperation.
Please do send your own messages of peace for the future to our blog of the Miroku Taisha either through emails or letters. We would like to introduce them in our blog later. For those who do not want your real names be introduced, let us know about it. We are looking forward to as many messages as possible.
Thank you.
Yoshimaru and Rica Higa
